I am pleased to announce that today was pretty seamless! 7th grade had their sintesis, which is like their final exams for the semester. All of the students reported that it was easy, which I would like to think I had something to do with considering all of the students also said that my review with them was much more difficult! I was also very proud of my 4th graders today who were so polite and listened so well when they went and asked other classes their survey questions. Maddie was a huge help and jumped right in on the action/chaos.
Maxi and Consuelo asked the 3rd graders about their favorite sports.
Daniella asked second grade about their favorite foods! Spaghetti came out on top.
I am looking forward to tomorrow, for a number of reasons. Firstly, it is a short day! Yay! Second, since it is the 7th graders last day of exams I am going to try and find a cool video about Louisiana that we can watch and discuss together. Having conversations and discussions like this where we all can learn from and about one another is one of my favorite things about teaching (especially with the upper grades). I once had a Spanish professor who would always say that to her, ´teaching is sharing,` and I think that is a great way to look at it.
It will also be nice to do something more fun with them instead of always being the teacher that makes them work! ¨Ay, the gringa!¨, I`m sure they often grumble behind my back, but hey, look who did great on their sintesis´!

Meredith, your resilience and verve are such an asset to this program and to your future students in Louisiana! We are proud to count you among the LSU College of Education Alums! ~ Leah
